There are few finer places to spend a sumptuous evening than on Shipwrecked Seafood Bar & Grill’s expansive deck facing out to the ocean. Located upstairs in the Roundabout Building in central Airlie Beach, here old sailing memorabilia hang on walls – lots of nautical looks for the kids see. This one is for seafood lovers, with fresh produce straight from the sea onto your plate. An extravagant menu features fresh oysters prepared in five different ways and a seafood plate known as Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s favourite: A satisfying selection of hot and cold seafood treats. It's also well worth keeping up on their current blackboard specials featuring local catches.

I cannot rave enough about Shipwrecked. My partner and I (from Brisbane) wished to be married at Airlie Beach. As we had been to Shipwrecked once before 2 years prior we decided dinner here again after our low key wedding ceremony was a must. Geoff and Adele not only took our booking but they pretty much made sure our every question was answered and that everything was organised before our big day, all at no extra cost, it was just a part of the great service they provided. They provided suggestions on what we could have on the day, letting us decorate our tables at the restaurant, bringing a cake in and once the other guests had left and we had the restaurant to ourselves, they allowed us to turn up the music have a dance. On the night of the event their manager Aaron made sure absolutely everything ran like a dream and that each and everyone of our guests was well taken care of. Every guest commented on the food and service from the Shipwrecked staff. Meals are of a good size and cooked to perfection. I could not fault anything on my visit to Shipwrecked 2 years ago or recenty for our wedding reception, neither could any of our 24 guests. We will definitely go back to Shipwrecked when we are at airlie next. Top stuff!!
