I Ate here friday night and was very suprised, i had heared about this place via friends and decided to check it out myself. Well i wasn't disappointed, Assiette of Bugs is devine, and the gnocchi is just a treat (YUM), overall the night was good, will be back again and again.

The best fine dinning experience we have had in either Brisbane or the Gold Coast. The food presentation and flavours were really first class. We recently visited another equally rated restaurant on the Gold Coast and it did not compare in food quality or service.

I have eaten here on two occasions in the past three months and have walked away a very happy patron both times. The Chefs obviously take great pride in their work and are very well in tune with the term "You first eat with your eyes". The food has exceptional taste and texture and the presentation rates with the best. Wait Staff are attentive, know the meal details and can match wines to the different dishes so it all comes together as a very good dining experience. Well worth a visit - or two!

We are lucky enough to live on Ephraim Island & have the best dining experience on the Gold Coast on our doorstep! The service is flawless yet friendly & the gnocchi is simply to die for....we have eaten at the best restaurants that Sydney, Melbourne & Paris have to offer & James & Julian deliver food at a standard up there with the best of them....Congratulations!

I have dined here a few times, and the service has always been intimately superb; however the last time I dined (last week), I was told there was a new menu and new chef / crew when I asked for a specific dish. Anyways - I was blown away by all the little in-between dishes provided by the chef - from the very tasty freshly baked sour dough bread and smoky butter, through to the palate cleansing lemon sorbet - with the dry ice and water smoke show at our table; through to the little creative morsels of food the chef brought out. It was really quite an extravagant and delightfully superb show that we received as well as of course amazing food. The very high level of food we enjoyed, was very comparable to some of the top restaurants in Sydney I have been to, but I am glad to say that it was much better - as the service at Poseidon was immediate and prompt and everything that was brought out was just.. well.. AMA$%ZING! I have gone back to work to tell my colleagues about this place!! When you're on a good thing...

Through the grapewine we understood that there is a new Chef and concept and decided to give it a try. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE !!! My wife and I ordered the Degustation menue which was a delight in terms of presentation and quality due to the partial use of the dehydration technique, the highlights being the oysters,gnocci with mushroom foam,ocean trout and dessert. Julian and James have catapulted Poseidon into the first Division of the culinary scene of the Gold Coast. P.S. We also enjoyed the smoked French butter (the smoking is being performed in-house).

I'm blown away!!!

Myself and two friends from Brisbane dined here on Saturday night with no great expectations...We had eaten here before, the food was always good but I would have to say not very memorable.I went with a game plan in mind...Oysters to start, linguine bugs to follow and an espresso martini to finish...This selection was tried and tested.

So, imagine my suprise when we were seated and presented with a new menu 'hot off the press' and a new head chef in the kitchen...

The menu was a complete change to the previous one and to my delight it sounded really good...Could the kitchen deliver?

Oh yes they could!!! So much so, I actually went back for lunch on Sunday...

Loved the confit duck & porcini risotto and the gnocchi is honestly the best I've ever had !

They also shuck the oysters to order...Try the tempura with wakami, pickled ginger and wasabi air...

The Goldie only has a handful of decent dining establishments...This restaurant is now on my list!
