Scott Damien's on the Lake Overview

Since they established in 2000, chef Scott and hosts Gerard & Myra have delivered consistently good food using local produce and wines. Scott Damien's on the Lake offers relaxed dining in a peaceful environment overlooking Caboolture River and the lake. Recommended specialties include freshly made pasta dishes; fennel spice crusted pork rack slow roasted and served on mashed potato with peas, pancetta, mint, & sage jus is also delicious; and their white & dark chocolate wontons deep fried then served with fresh strawberries & ice-cream is the perfect way to complete your meal. Tantalized? Cooking classes are available and keep an eye out for weeknight specials.

Scott Damien's on the Lake is a family restaurant opened in 2000 targeted at the families in and around the then Caboolture Shire.

From its inception Scott Damien's on the Lake has attempted to provide a fresh and diverse selection of local food and wines. Food style is a melding of Mediterranean and Asian with fresh pasta, seafoods, curries, etc. This has resulted in a number of awards, the latest being National Foods Best Pasta in Queensland in the 2010 Hospitality Trade Show.

The restaurant has an open kitchen so all operations are conducted in view of our customers. The seating area is divided into two, approximately 40 seats on a deck overlooking the Lake and 40 seats inside in the airconditioning. The deck, if required, can be fully enclosed and is heated during winter. Being an open kitchen inside provides a real buzz while candles enhance the ambience of the deck. A computerised system facilitates individual bills for large bookings.

For children there are colouring books, cushions and a toy box. For the parents, if customer numbers permit, we try to entertain the children so you can eat your main.

Throughout the year we conduct Thai, Pasta and Meat Lovers cooking classes. These classes are kept small so that attendees cook all the food themselves and subsequent cooking at home brings few surprises.

Scott Damien's on the Lake has also received awards from the Queensland Government for its promotion of local wines. Our wine list includes a number of Queensland wines and is supported by wine nights throughout the year. These nights match food and wine with five wines and four dishes being the norm.

Genuine friendly service by all staff. Food is wonderful, our 3 courses were served all within an hour and it was reasonably full. portion sizes great. Our desert came with sparklers and a little dusted chocolate message saying congratulations, (when booking I was asked if there was an occasion, we were celebrating a milestone of our savings account). Overall very impressed.

What a hidden gem this is! A fantastic restaurant in an unlikely location. The food was fabulous and staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. It was very romantic sitting out on the deck with fairy lights overlooking the lake- be sure to book an outdoor table.
We have since returned and will visit again.
