Iceworks Restaurant Bar & Lounge Overview

Now a Paddington landmark, the award winning Iceworks Restaurant Lounge & Bar is kitty-corner to Suncorp Stadium, just outside Brisbane's CBD. If you just want to catch up with friends for a drink, their bar is impressive with a diverse drinks list to match, though Iceworks can cater beyond the casual, hosting functions and weddings as well. While you’re there, sharing a gourmet pizza will be tempting, though a more 'full monty', all revealing restaurant meal may be more to your liking. Perhaps start off with macadamia crusted yabbies served atop creamed leek with a pea mousse, capsicum salsa and saffron rouille. For the sweet tooths out there, you can't go past the passionfruit parfait.

Iceworks Paddington is centrally located across the road from Suncorp Stadium and only two kilometres from the CBD. It makes for an exceptional venue for pre-game drinks, a catch up with friends, a romantic dinner for two, or your next function.

RESTAURANT / BAR / LOUNGE

Iceworks Restaurant offers a beautiful open plan dining area complete with high ceilings and a sumptuous menu. Situated at footpath level, the restaurant has a European café feel.

Breakfast at the Iceworks Restaurant, seated at a table in the window, watching the Paddington scene pass by, makes a great start to the weekend. The high ceilings and open plan design make for a beautiful breezy setting. The menu offers a host of breakfast classics as well as some more gourmet options such as zucchini and smoked salmon fritters served with lemon olive oil, fresh sorrel and tomato relish.

For lunch or dinner, don't be surprised if you find it hard to choose from the menu! You will not be disappointed; try the pork belly with spiced pear puree, bubble and squeak croquette, pickled watermelon radish and snow pea tendrils to start, following with a main of duck breast served on orange and star anise infused confit beetroot with cocotte potatoes, pumpkin mousse, watercress and a blackberry game jus, rounding off with a 'Happy Ending' - a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream with a shot of dessert wine and espresso on the side.

The impressive bar is great for a catch up drink with friends, offering an extensive drinks menu and a delightful bar menu to match. The gourmet lamb pizza - featuring lamb marinated for 24 hours, beautiful fresh ingredients and a homemade crispy base - is a must try.

DOWSE BAR

Dowse Bar is located downstairs at Iceworks, on Dowse Street, and provides the perfect low-key venue for a catch-up with friends. The venue offers all the perks of a house party without the mess, fuss and noise complaints.

Music always makes a party and Thursday nights at Dowse are fast becoming a hot spot for local musicians, who have Dowse Bar pumping until the early hours of Friday morning.

The drinks menu is impressive with a range of boutique beers, wines and cocktails available and the delicious gourmet pizzas will be sure to satisfy.

Dowse Bar is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights until late, offering a casual lounge atmosphere, live music and beautiful food and drinks.

FUNCTIONS

Iceworks is a most enjoyable place to eat where the food is very good and the ambiance excellent. It caters for a younger crowd but oldies don't feel out of place just younger. Also parking underneath the premises is very convenient. We went when there were no events at Suncorp and had a great time, good food and good wine. We have been twice and the food was very good both times. Desserts are limited in choice.
