Almustafa Overview

A myriad of colours greets you upon entering the dining room of Almustafa, located in Glebe. Fabric styled tents decorate the ceilings and colourful wall mounts and original oil paintings hang on the walls. This truly is a dining experience! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with prompt service and fantastically flavoursome food. In keeping with the Arabic custom of sharing dishes in the middle of the table, a number of set menus are recommended, however, an a la carte selection is also available. Recommended dishes include Shishbarak pan fried pastry ravioli filled with lamb, pine nuts & onion, served with a yoghurt, coriander & garlic sauce & rice baked with vermicelli noodle.

ALMUSTAFA HISTORY
Almustafa Restaurant was established by Ian and Salwa in 1996 to create a relaxed, authentic, casual and friendly dining experience where everyone can feel at home with good quality food.

They had no experience but with their relaxed approach mingled with a serious determination, Almustafa soon became a much bigger venture. Word of mouth spread that Salwa's food was delicious and after operating the small Almustafa at Surry Hills for seven years, it was time to look for bigger premises which they could add their personal style to. They found the right location and now have a beautifully presented dining room and Arabian cushion room in Glebe.

ALMUSTAFA MENU
Ian and Salwa provide consistency in the taste of their food and good service along with a happy and comfortable environment. Judging by their popularity and success, it's obvious they are doing something right.

ALMUSTAFA DECOR
Upon entering Almustafa's ground floor dining room, you will be greeted by friendly faces and a myriad of colours. There are fabric styled tents on the ceilings, colourful wall hangings and original oil paintings of belly dancers on the walls.

ALMUSTAFA STYLE
Almustafa has developed a great reputation in Lebanese cuisine and is well known for its food and its relaxed and fun atmosphere. Almustafa at Glebe continues to be very popular on Friday and Saturday nights, with belly dancers after 8.30pm, providing a great venue for group dinners and parties.

Reservations are essential.

I had my 40th there and had the best night ever. The food was beautiful and value for money, the decor was perfect and the staff were friendly and quick to bring your orders. Will go again for sure.
