About Botanica Garden Cafe
Botanica Garden Café on Bay Road is a tranquil oasis in Waverton, where guests can escape the hustle of Sydney city life. Established in 2012, the former nursery's polished timber walls and bare hanging light bulbs create a whimsically rustic vibe, while a bright mural-lined courtyard provides the ideal spot to soak up the sun. With a menu focusing on classic recipes with contemporary twists, think breaky tempters of dukkah poached eggs, avocado smash, tomato bruschetta and balsamic glaze; while lunch-goers tuck into a braised pork belly and brown rice bowl, with poached egg, pickled cabbage, coriander, shallots, sautéed bean sprouts and sesame oil. Perhaps choose to chow down on a roast beef toasted sandwich, with wholegrain mustard, caramelised onion, pickles, Swiss cheese and spinach.

Have only just discovered this delightful gem of a place 2 days ago, whilst Hubby and I have been staying in Waverton for a few days. We've been wowed by both the breakfast and lunch so far, and will be back for more tomorrow! What a find! It just ticks so many boxes... from the original and totally delicious food - with scrummy gluten free choices - the best coffee I've ever tasted, to the wonderful philosophy behind the business, fantastically quirky decor - clearly put together with a lot of love - the great team of warm and friendly people who obviously love what they do - the eco-friendliness and desire to soothe their customers by surrounding them with Nature. I love that they even give their tips to local charities. Such a great place for the local community to enjoy. I take my hat off to these guys and for what they have achieved so far. All credit to them!
Botanica is the best thing to have hit waverton. Just across the street from waverton station, it is a sanctuary!!! Sitting under the tree, hearing the birds and the water fountain is just mesmerisingly peaceful, cathartic and restores me!!!. I go every weekend for their fantastic coffee, unbelievable food and faultless service. The staff are so friendly and will go over and above to make you feel at home away from home. As busy as it gets, I have never been rushed out even if just having a coffee. They are generous beyond words and all their tips go to charity - now that speaks volumes!!!! Do yourself a favor, go when it reopens on the 6th January, you won't regret it. Look forward to seeing you there. Michal
I am a regular and I love the feeling of tranquility and escapism blended with the buzz of wonderful staff and owners. These people care about you and their heart And soul goes into each dish and the service that accompanies it. Go there and expect a menu with 100 things to choose from ( and they are all delic) and passionate beautiful staff with big smiles

Cutest cafe! The atmosphere, the setting, and the scrumptious dishes reminds me of a magical Alice in Wonderland. The staff are very friendly and every dish looks and tastes fantastic!
What can I say?? A hidden oasis a touch away from the road... a short step from the train line and a breath from the bus stop!!!! I am a fancy eater I like things done well and right! And Botanica Cafe always gets it right!!! Waiters always with a smile when asked for a side of soy ....chilli... and the bacon on a Separate plate.. my girls are always offered to feed the fish!!! And the coffee is always right!!! This is a cafe which takes much pride in there work! And the chefs in their produce!!! Even though we cannot go there too often due to living out west! Every time I visit another Cafe I end up comparing it to this!!!!
While living on the North Shore Botanica was my home away from home. Nathan and Ann have created one of Sydney's best kept secrets. The food is fantastic and the vibe is the kind of cool I thought only Melbourne could do. And the coffee. I'm a coffee lover and Botanica hit it every time. Sssssssssh, let's keep them a secret!
From the time I walk in I feel like I have stepped into some far away relaxing place. Great place to chill out and the staff are so very friendly. The food is also fresh and delicious. Thank you guys. :-)

The food is amazing!!! I'ts one of those cafe's where you always want what other people have ordered... Like when the wait staff run food past your table, your head automatically turns and "mmmm..." murmurs from your lips...!
