For the first time at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa, we are offering Landscape Photography Weekends with acclaimed local landscape photographer Michael Scott Lees. Michael will host the weekends showing you how to utilise your camera to take the best shot. Living locally Michael knows all the best locations for taking that amazing photo and will teach you about light, the right time of day for shooting along with other hints and tips throughout the weekend.
20 to 22 Feb
Develop and expand a deeper understanding of fly casting and chasing wild brown and rainbow trout with a fly rod at hand. Both weekends feature workshops and seminars that cover introductory and dynamic fly casting techniques, and advanced tuition to extend the experienced caster’s skill level. Workshops will then transition to stream craft sessions focusing on water hydrology, trout behaviours, and stream craft and choosing correct fly patterns.
3 to 5 Oct
Enjoy a weekend filled with casting workshops, lure selection, along with water hydrology and rig setups. The Introduction to Trout Fishing Weekend is all about introducing men, women and children to the sport of trout fishing using conventional fishing equipment (spin rod and reel) casting soft and hard body lures.

Designed especially to suit beginners and experienced levels of experience, classes for each weekend will vary to suit the changing needs of the seasons according to Ryoho Yoga Therapy. Based on the teachings of renowned teachers, Andzej Gospodarczyk and Lisa Foster, Ryoho yoga combines traditional Indian Hatha yoga with the principles of Yin and Yang, the Five Element Theory and the healing arts of China and Japan.

The Truffle Festival - Canberra & Capital Region runs through the Winter Solstice being 21st June - early August 2014, running parallel to the harvest of Black Perigord truffle in the Canberra region.
Cuisine Restaurant is once again supporting this great event for the region with a special menu showcasing ‘The Truffle’.
