Byron Bay Lighthouse

Claimed to be one of the nation's most powerful lighthouses, the 18 metre tower of Byron Bay Lighthouse houses a light which is visible for more than 40km out to sea, on Australia's most easterly point. Built in 1901, Byron Bay Lighthouse is a must see for those in the Northern Rivers region, spectacularly located for a picnic with an ocean breeze and view. Keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles and whales in the water.
