Monte's offers a rustic charm in a picturesque cottage setting, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a scenic courtyard area to enjoy breezy alfresco dining. Guests can escape to a tranquil setting, where they can happily wile away an afternoon over a myriad of flavoursome meals and freshly ground coffees.

Exuding all the charm of an era gone-by, Monet's at the cottage although positioned in a central location of Newcastle, offers a welcome escape from the city hustle and bustle. Enjoy open air dining in the courtyard, a perfect venue for the sunny days and experiences a cool sea breeze all year round, or dine inside by the warmth of the open fire during the cooler months.

Alternatively, one may dine privately within one of the historic Commandant's Cottage dining rooms capable of seating up to twenty people each. Available for special events during week nights or weekends, Monet's can be booked for functions.

Offering a menu of contemporary Australian cuisine, the restaurant provides rarely found value for money with an assortment of daily specials including a two course lunch for $14.50. Meals worthy of mentioning include their mouth-watering smoked salmon salad with walnut, pear and brie, or their tender garlic rosemary chicken on a bed of lemon risotto offers perfectly harmonised flavours.

All staff at Monet's receives on the job and formal vocational training whilst undertaking one of the offered programs in conjunction with Hunter Joblink inc. Staff at Monet's offer sharp, well-trained, customer-focused hospitality, and sharp service with a friendly smile. Monet's has been functioning for over ten years as a business service and can offer a wide selection of catering choices to fit your needs and budget. Monet's can cater at your place or theirs for both Lunch and Evening functions and offer a perfect location for a quiet, private working lunch.

The Cottage hosts a special evening of fine dining once per month, for The Diner's Indulgence, a fine dining club that fosters community awareness.
