Cellar
Door Festival - Friday 24 to Sunday 26 February 2012-01-17
The 2012 annual Cellar Door Wine Festival Adelaide will be happening on the fourth
weekend of February. Wine enthusiasts
can anticipate unlimited tastings of up to 150 wineries to explore the taste of
12 iconic South Australia
wine regions.
Conveniently
located at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the festival program includes
Masterclasses from “Brilliant Wines of SA” to “Wine and Chocolate: A Decadent Tasting”.
Salena
Estate Wines
Amongst
the participants of the 2012 annual Cellar Door Wine Festival, Salena
Estate Wines will be one of many representing the Riverland district. The family-owned fine wine production began
in 1998 and is multi-award winning, testament to their high quality and
attention to detail.
Ink
Series Vermentino
The "Ink Series" was created to highlight a group of alternative varieties that are not common in Australia and are released on a regular basis. They experimented with different grapes and produce only those combinations that contribute tasty results to the range. Other Salena Estate Wines in the prize package include Ink Series Bianco d’Alessano and Salena Estate Premium Black Label Shiraz.
Vermentino
is making an impression on the Australian wine scene, featuring a grape that
grows within mild and warm regions across the country. It is an aromatic white wine variety becoming
acknowledged at wine shows within its own distinct category where it used to be
considered in the heterogenous “other whites” class.
