Excellent coffees and honest food with a dash of Kiwi flavours make up The Black Sheep Espresso Baa on Coolangatta’s main drag. Friendly staff, a warm wood-panelled interior and the aromatic smells of Toby's Estate coffee beans make this charming establishment a hit with the locals – The Black Sheep team will even deliver your coffee down to the beach for you if you don’t feel like leaving the water and sand. For lunch, weekly pulled meat sandwiches draw the crowds in, as do specials such as the 12-hour slow cooked lamb with beetroot relish, crunchy slaw in a toasted roll with yoghurt honey dressing. For those who prefer to take their lunch out to the shore, picnic blankets are also available for hire at the counter.
