Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, this Sunshine Coast dining destination boasts a funky vibe of colourful wall murals, recycled timber tables and Mexican accents, while the alfresco area beckons on balmy days for tequila and tacos with amigos. Say hola to starters like spiced fried calamari and chipotle aioli, or buttermilk crispy chicken bites, chipotle lime sauce and lime aioli; before chowing down on gourmet tacos like grilled prawns in garlic and coconut cream sauce, with baby spinach, tomato salsa and green chilli jam. Then devour an ultimate burrito bowl with Mexican rice, cheese, grilled corn mix, fresh tomato salsa, black beans and lime aioli.

The Prickly Pinata boasts one of the best views from a venue on the Sunshine Coast, directly across the Maroochydore Bay at Cotton Tree. Our menu offers a lot of variety, a mixture of flavoursome dishes that are spicy and non-spicy, meat and vegetarian with gluten free options. At The Prickly Pinata, you can design your own function package or select one of our Chef’s suggested packages. Our function packages can be altered to suit either a stand up/finger food type event or a sit down dinner.

Well Rusties went years ago but this is a great replacement. Terrific Margaritas & great service. For those adventurous the hottest chicken wings are the bomb. We finished them all so WOW we won the challenge. Good luck with those that love heat. #facxual_events
