About The Balfour Kitchen
Escape the bustle of the city at charming and serene The Balfour Kitchen on Balfour Street in New Farm. Set in a beautiful Queenslander, guests can dine on the verandah, enjoy relaxed gatherings under frangipanis in the courtyard, or cocktails on the rooftop bar, as the sun sets over the Storey Bridge. Serving edgy modern Vietnamese-inspired cuisine with a French twist, the menu delivers fresh, light and punchy flavours, along with vegan and vegetarian options. Start with salmon ceviche, black sesame and soy, katsuobushi and wonton crisps; before larger plates of sweet and sour pork tomahawk, panisse, capsicum and fennel, or tropical rock lobster, sour curry, tomato, kohlrabi and a side of jasmine rice. Finish indulgently with a dessert of Vietnamese mocha truffle and cacao nibs.

Located in the heart of New Farm, a leafy inner city suburb of Brisbane, and only moments away from the vibrant Howard Smith Wharves, The Balfour Kitchen is a Vietnamese inspired restaurant recently crowned Australia's Best Asian Restaurant.
Chef Dann Rowell's unique and flair will entice those with a palate for fresh, light and punchy flavours which includes delicious vegan and vegetarian options.
After dinner head to the rooftop bar to enjoy a cocktail from their 'Inspirationalists' menu, a menu inspired by the local heroes of the area, before experiencing the nightlife of the local entertainment precincts.

An al a carte menu offering something light through to the five course tasting menu. Experience the classic Queenslander wrap-around veranda or take in the kitchen atmosphere inside. Private Dining Private dining is on offer in the outdoor courtyard under the frangipani tree, the dedicated private dining room or for a larger group of up to 50 people in the Simla Room.
