I recently celebrated my 60th birthday at The Long Apron with 10 close family members and friends. They all agreed that the food was some of the best they had ever tasted, if not THE best. The only negative feedback was some people were cold with a breeze coming through a side entrance but it was unusually cold and windy for this region. I would definitely recommend this dining experience to anyone and everyone.

Tasting menu has to be on everyone's bucket list. Truly inspiring presentation and flavours. Warm personal service, attentive, never overbearing. Lovely location, overall The Long Apron was a faultless dining experience. And we all know how hard these are to find.

The Long Apron Overview

Signature restaurant of Montville’s beautiful Spicers Clovelly Estate, The Long Apron is a dining experience that insists on a lengthy stay. This intimate restaurant feels instantly inviting and once seated in the elegant yet comfortable dining room, with its black French provincial style chairs and spotless white tablecloths, or out on the terrace gazing out over the Sunshine Coast hinterland, you’ll find it hard to leave. Most alluring of all are Cameron Matthews’ seasonal European inspired dishes, which blend classic technique and the finest local produce with exquisite results. The likes of Hervey Bay scallops with fermented rhubarb, buttermilk and dulse oil may be enjoyed a la carte, or as part of a tasting menu or chef’s table experience.
