Bellevue on the Lakes, 201 The Esplanade,Lakes Entrance VIC
Good food. Great service. Loved it
Fresh seafood at it's best! A little pricey though...
My wife and myself celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary here last night. Having dined at several "hatted" restaraunts, we agreed it was probably our best dining experience for the last twelve months. Murray was particularly sensitive to my wife's gluten free requirements and nothing was too much trouble. A highly recommended destination.
Full of seaside charm, the Lakes Entrance has a huge draw including The Boathouse Restaurant and Lounge Bar, situated on ground level of Bellevue on the Lakes on The Esplanade. Affording charming views of the local fishing fleet and foreshore, the serene setting will put you at ease whether you're enjoying coffee, a full meal or a cocktail from the bar. Soothing music and the delectable aroma of fresh fine cuisine will have you basking in the restaurant's stylish surrounds. Perhaps start with Tasmanian salmon tataki lightly seared then marinated in oyster sauce and sesame oil, served with wasabi paste and micro herbs, followed by grain fed beef eye fillet served with black truffles, duck foie gras, roasted turned potato and a rich beef double reduction.
Local John Dory served with summer potatoes, tomatoes, local asparagus and baby onions with
